22 August 2016, Xi Ning, China. Geely Auto (Geely) today opened 9 new dealerships across western and central China in what is an aggressive push by Geely in terms of service and investment across growth key regions.

The nine new dealerships accounts for a total of nearly 200 million RMB of investment for the new stores which are primarily flagship ‘A-Level’ stores with 4 new stores opening in Xinjiang Autonomous Region, 2 in Shanxi Province, and three stores in Qinghai, Gansu,and Ningxia province.

Geely has established 72 dealers to cover the western parts of China, with 13 new additions over the course of 2016. With greater investment in China’s western regions over the coming years Geely will move to expand its influence in the region with improved Geely network coverage.

In the first seven months of 2016, Geely’s sales in western regions rose to 30,000 units, an increase of 22%, making Geely the strongest Chinese brand in the region thanks to strong support for the New Emgrand, New Vision and Jin Gang vehicle range.

According to JD Power’s 2016 Dealership Satisfaction Survey, Geely dealerships reached 100% satisfaction with the brand. At the same time, 95% of Geely’s dealerships are profitable with over105 dealers joining the brand in the first half of the year with over 20 of the new dealerships having experience in running and operating international brand dealerships within China and 17 of the new dealerships already having worked with other Chinese brands.

Geely’s sales in the first half of 2016 reached over 328,000 vehicles, a year on year increase of 17%, higher than the industry average. Geely’s top performing products include the New Emgrand, New Vision, New Jin Gang and the Bo Yue SUV. In July Bo Yue SUV sales jumped through 10,000 units for the first with Geely yet to fill a substantial orderbook for this popular model. Emgrand GS sales continue to be strong with over 6700 units being delivered with strong demand for popular model. Geely has moved to adjust its sales goal for the 2016 calendar year from 600,000 units to 660,000 units based on the strong sales performance of its 3.0 Generation vehicles.
