28 October 2014, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Geely Auto had its Brazilian debut at the Sao Paolo auto show on October 28th 2014.

Geely Auto occupied a 1200 meter square stand at the heart of the auto show, and was quickly filled with local Brazilian media that were eager to learn more about the brands expansion into one of the hottest developing automotive markets.

The Geely FE-7 had its first airing in Brazil, and the first time the car has been shown outside of China. The vehicle was designed by Geely Vice President of Design, Peter Horbury at Geely’s Swedish design center in Stockholm. The Geely FE-7 is a pure hybrid vehicle that is capable of traveling 50km on a single charge and is coupled to a 1.8L engine to provide a vehicle with a range of over 1000km on a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery system. Peter gave the assembled media an overview of Geely’s plans for the Brazilian market including current and future products as well as the level of investment that Geely will bring to the market.

In addition to the FE-7, Geely also displayed seven models in total including the Emgrand 7 sedan the Emgrand 7-RV and GX2, GC2 etc.

To highlight Geely’s commitment to long term development in the Brazilian market, Geely senior executives attended the event including Geely’s Vice President and General Manager of Geely International Corporation Dr. Zhang Lin, Vice President and Dean of Geely Institute of Research and Development, were on hand to answer questions from current and future dealers, as well as local and national media.

Geely will continue to invest in the Brazilian market along with its local partner, GMB. Dr. Zhang Lin, the General Manager of Geely International Corporation commented: “Geely Auto is highly enthusiastic about the future of the Brazilian automotive market, we will continue to bring our latest products to Brazil to share with local consumers and also expand our sales and service network in the region.”
